The Worcester Veterans' Council and the City of Worcester Veterans' Services Division will honor and observe Memorial Day with the following ceremonies:
Memorial Day Observance and Remembrance Ceremony at Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street at 9 a.m.
Wreath Laying at the Massachusetts Vietnam Memorial, Green Hill Park at 11 a.m. (sponsored by the Massachusetts Vietnam Veterans' Memorial Board of Directors).
Wreath Laying at the Korean War Memorial, 52 Foster Street at 1 p.m.
Worcester is known as the "Heart of the Commonwealth". Named after the city of Worcester, England, the town was incorporated on June 14, 1722 and chartered as a city on February 29, 1848.
