WORCESTER, Mass. – The City of Worcester announced Tuesday that the Worcester 311 Customer Service Center at 799 Main St. has added access to essential Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) services via a new self-service kiosk.
Using the kiosk at the Customer Service Center, residents can apply for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Transitional Aid to Families with Dependent Children (TAFDC), and Emergency Aid to Elders, Disabled, and Children (EAEDC) benefits at the kiosk. Residents must have a valid email address to apply for these benefits.
"This is the next phase of our continued rollout of services for the Worcester 311 Customer Service Center,” said City Manager Eric D. Batista. “These new services help us bring critical resources to residents where they are. I want to thank the Worcester 311 team for its dedication and commitment to bringing municipal government directly to residents in creative and practical ways that truly improve residents’ quality of life. We look forward to continuing to grow services even further.”
Residents who are not able to visit the Customer Service Center can download the Commonwealth’s mobile app to a smartphone or tablet at https://dtaconnect.eohhs.mass.gov/.
The DTA self-service kiosk is available to residents during the Center’s business hours, Tuesday 11 a.m. - 7 p.m., Wednesday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., Thursday 11 a.m. -7 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Saturday 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The addition of the kiosk is the second major new initiative at the Worcester 311 Customer Service Center in 2025. In January, MassHire began offering residents career counseling services at the Center. Residents can meet with a MassHire counselor for help with job searches, training, resume writing, and more. A MassHire counselor is available at the Center on the first and third Thursday of each month from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
