WORCESTER – The Worcester Veteran’s Council and the City of Worcester Division of Veterans’ Services will honor and observe Memorial Day with the following ceremonies:
Sunday, May 29:
Water Ceremony at Elm Park, 1 p.m.
Monday, May 30:
Memorial Day Observance and Remembrance Ceremony at Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster St., 9 a.m.
Wreath Laying at Massachusetts Vietnam Memorial, Green Hill Park, 11 a.m.
Wreath Laying at Korean War Memorial, 52 Foster St., 1 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established by Worcester Firefighters IAFF Local 1009 in the name of Firefighter Christopher J. Roy's daughter, Ava Roy. Checks may be made payable to the AVA ROY FUND and mailed directly to the Worcester Fire Department Credit Union, 34 Glennie Street, Worcester, MA 01605.
