WORCESTER - The public is invited to attend the second annual Paul J. Moosey Award Ceremony at noon on Monday, May 16, at City Hall. City officials will present the 2022 Paul J. Moosey Department of Public Works & Parks Employee of the Year Award. The award is named for Paul J. Moosey, former commissioner of the Department of Public Works & Parks, who passed away in 2020. Paul was truly dedicated to getting the job done and, over his 36 years of service to the city, making it a better, safer place for all who live, work, and visit. His legacy lives on in the projects he so passionately devoted himself to for the City of Worcester, including Polar Park, South High Community School, the Franklin Street Fire Station, the Pearl-Elm parking garage renovations, Union Station, and many others. The 2021 award recipient was Jonathan Gervais, the environmental manager of the Department of Public Works and Parks. The public is welcome to attend the May 16 ceremony and meet this year’s recipient of the 2022 Paul J. Moosey Department of Public Works & Parks Employee of the Year Award.
