WORCESTER, Mass. – The City of Worcester Department of Public Works & Parks (DPW&P) is hosting an open jobs fair at 50 Officer Manny Familia Way in Worcester from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 29. Staff from DPW&P and Human Resources will be available to connect one-on-one with attendees about job openings, the application process, and more.
“DPW&P is an essential part of the city’s municipal operations,” said City Manager Eric D. Batista. “This is a great opportunity for individuals to learn more about how they can build a career in public works, the benefits of a job with the municipality, and the impact DPW&P workers can have on residents’ quality of life. I encourage anyone who is interested to attend the job fair and learn more as we continue developing our team to provide the best public services possible.”
DPW&P currently has approximately 90 open positions. The municipality is currently looking to hire qualified candidates for roles spanning motor equipment repair and operation, engineering, forestry, administration, and more.
The Department provides high-quality, efficient, safe services involving public infrastructure and facilities that enhance the quality of life and support growth in the City of Worcester. Street and sidewalk repair, snow removal, trash pickup and parks maintenance are just some of the ways in which the department keeps Worcester running.
The event is family-friendly and will include swag to take home, as well as on-site applications.
