Request City Manager request the Commissioner of Public Works and Parks implement a study concerning the feasibility of meter maids/persons being made responsible for not writing parking tickets when they know a parking meter is broken. Further, request posting a telephone number on the parking meter for calling when a meter is broken as well as language on the parking ticket.

Chairman's Proposed Ordinances

Amend Section 42 of Chapter 13 of the Revised Ordinances of 1996 to Increase the Time Limit on the Parking Meters from One Hour 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. to Two Hours 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from 312 to 316 Grafton St.

Request City Manager request the Commissioner of Public Works and Parks to send the Petitions filed by Joseph Quinn concerning the installation of a traffic signal and the installation of a red light in Route 20 to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Highway Department.

Request the City Manager request the Commissioner of Public Works and Parks to forward copies of Joseph Quinn's petitions to State Representative Fresolo and State Senator Augustus to inform them of his petitions and request their assistance with implementation by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Highway Department. Further, request Commissioner of Public Works & Parks to send a letter on behalf of the City Council's Standing Committee on Traffic & Parking to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Highway Department recommending their support for these petitions.
