Councilor Russell led a discussion regarding the Comprehensive Clean City Program, outlining all details about the program listed in the Communication.

Councilor Mero-Carlson stated an interest in supporting the program as written.

Councilor Wally stated an interest in supporting the program under the condition that the Department of Public Works and Parks sell the clear recycling bags and yellow trash bags separately.

Councilor Russell stated an interest in supporting the program under the condition that clear bags not be used as part of the program.

Councilor Russell moved for a roll call vote to approve the Item as written for the purpose of further discussion at City Council.

Recommend Approval to support the program as written on a roll call vote of 2 Yeas and 1 Nay – (Yeas – Mero-Carlson, Wally) (Nay – Russell)

Order of Councilor King – Request Standing Committee of Public Works consider looking into additional drop off locations for recyclables, including Millbury St. and more as possible as part of the Comprehensive Clean City Program. # 13c CC January 22, 2019
