Order of Councilor Sarai Rivera - Request Standing Committee on Public Health and Human Services Committee conduct a meeting allowing for a presentation from Family Health Center of Worcester that updates the community as to the status of their “Better Together” Strategic Go-Forward Plan. # 11c CC November 15, 2022

Chairperson Councilor Rivera read the item and recognized the President and CEO of Family Health Center of Worcester, who provided an overview of the “Better Together” Strategic Go-Forward Plan for the Family Health Center of Worcester.

Chairperson Councilor Rivera discussed the challenges and successes concerning hiring new staff and outreach, communication efforts with other health centers, rebuilding the refugee clinic/program and timeline concerning hiring staff with the President and CEO of Family Health Center of Worcester and the Chief Clinical Officer of Family Health Center of Worcester.

Chairperson Councilor Rivera recognized Councilor Haxhiaj, who discussed funding received by the Family Health Center of Worcester with the President and CEO of Family Health Center of Worcester.

Chairperson Councilor Rivera recognized Councilor Bergman, who discussed the shortage of internal medicine doctors within the practice with the President and CEO of Family Health Center of Worcester and the Chief Clinical Officer of Family Health Center of Worcester.

Chairperson Councilor Rivera recognized the following speakers:
1. Dora Locke, Worcester Resident, spoke regarding the item.

Chairperson Councilor Rivera recognized the President and CEO of Family Health Center of Worcester, who discussed Ms. Locke’s concerns.
