CHAIRMAN'S ORDERS

1.

Request Mayor and City Councilor Tony Economou inform parents of Nelson Place students via letter of the updated timeframe of work to be done at the school site.

2.

Request Mayor develop a Task Force comprised of community representatives to ascertain the top reasons why Worcester families opt-out of Worcester Public Schools after their children have completed elementary and middle school.

3.

Request City Manager request Superintendent of the Worcester Public Schools provide the City Council with a short summary of the technology improvements that have been made system-wide over the past five years.

CHAIRMAN'S RESOLUTIONS

1.

Request City Manager request Chief Financial Officer work with the Chief Financial Officer of the Worcester Public Schools and the City Auditor to establish parameters for the expenditure of $75,000.00 for a public school transportation study and additional funding be allocated through a Request for Quotations for a more in-depth analysis of transportation at the Worcester Public Schools in comparing that to similar functions in other Gateway Cities.
