Approval of the Minutes
Order - That the City Council Standing Committee of Economic Development hereby approves the minutes of the Economic Development Committee meeting on December 8, 2020.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson read the item and moved for a roll call vote to adopt the item.

Communication of the City Manager
Transmitting an update on the Polar Park project for City Council's information, review and consideration.

Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson read the item and recognized the Chief Development Officer, who provided an overview of the project update relative to the additional costs of the Ballpark construction project.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson recognized the Worcester Red Sox president, who spoke concerning the projected cost of the Ballpark.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson recognized Councilor Toomey, who spoke concerning the item.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson recognized Councilor Rose, who spoke concerning the item.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson recognized Councilor Rosen, who spoke concerning the item.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson recognized Councilor Russell, who discussed the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on Ballpark revenues, the possibility of increased costs for the Ballpark construction with the Worcester Red Sox President and the Worcester Red Sox General Manager.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson then spoke concerning the Ballpark and its impact on the City.
Chairperson Councilor Mero-Carlson moved for a roll call vote to recommend the item be filed.
