1.       Communication of the City Manager requesting an Ordinance reorganizing the Departments, Boards and Commissions of the City of Worcester.

Chairman’s Order request the City Manager to provide the City Council with an up-to-date Chain of Command document of his Administrators.

 

Chairman’s Order request the City Manager to report to the City Council any proposed new means of communications to encourage applications to Boards and Commissions through the City Advisory Committee and/or the Affirmative Action Advisory Committee.

 

@ 7:22 p.m. The Chairperson opened a hearing on the Reorganization Plan proposed by the City Manager and submitted to the City Council on September 28, 2004. The Committee heard a detailed explanation of the new organizational structure onto eight major departments, and also concerning the Executive Office of the City Manager and the Department of Administration and Finance. The Committee announced it will continue the hearing to hear details of the remaining proposed re-organization. The hearing was recessed @ 9:16 p.m.
