1.          Communication of the City Manager relative to FY 2003 Goals and Objectives.

Recommend Accept the Goals and Objectives of the City Manager as amended to include naming rights to Worcester’s CentrumCentre.

 

Chairman’s Order request the City Manager provide the City Council with quarterly updates on progress made against the agreed upon Goals and Objectives of the City Manager.

 

2.          Communication of the City Manager relative to proposed Reorganization Plan for the Department of Health & Code Enforcement.

The Chairperson opened the hearing pursuant to the Home Rule Charter @

7:50 a.m.

 

Chairman’s Order request the City Manager report to City Council by August 20th, 2002 how the Early Retirement Incentive will affect the Health and Code Department.

The Chairperson also reviewed the various motions made at the July 16th, 2002 City Council meeting and asked the City Manager to have those reports provided to Council at the earliest possible time.

Recommend Recess the Hearing to Monday, September 9, 2002 @ 6:00 p.m. in

the Council Chamber.

 

3.                 Order Mayor Murray – Request Municipal Operations Committee in their discussion of the proposed reorganization of the Department of Health & Code Enforcement include some measures to determine the level of customer service.  Further, request discussion of employee education relating to

          customer  service.

4.                 Discussion Item – City Auditor and City Clerk Goals and Objectives.

The City Auditor submitted his annual Goals and Objectives document. The

City Clerk submitted his annual Accomplishments/Goals document.

 

Chairman’s order request the City Auditor provide a report to the City Council

concerning the third party auditor’s bonding.

 

Chairman’s Order request the City Auditor provide the City Council with a

copy of the Inventory report of the Worcester Public Schools.

 

Chairman's Order - Recommend Accept the Goals and Objectives of the City

Auditor.

 

Chairman’s Order request the City Clerk and City Auditor provide the City

Council with quarterly updates on progress compared to their Goals document.
