When the City Council reconvened to Open Session Mayor O'Brien read a brief statement on behalf of the City Council in regards to the discussion in Executive Session: The Worcester City Council has reached a tentative contract extension with the City Manager. We have authorized the City Solicitor to draft contract documents which will be review by all parties and finalized in a subsequent executive session. Per the rules of council we will not have any further discussion about this matter either publicly or with any private parties.

O'Brien - Request City Manager convene a special Task Force regarding the dog ordinance for the purpose of for the purpose of defining the process for which a dangerous dog will be determined and how any exceptions to the rule will be addressed. Said Task Force should include appointments by the City Manager from the following entities: a member from the Mass. Veterinary Medical Association, a member from Tufts Veterinary School, an animal behaviorist, an Worcester Animal Control Officer or appropriate law enforcement officer. Further, the City Manager may be given latitude to make additional appointments.
