FROM THE COMMITTEE ON YOUTH, PARKS AND RECREATION - Request City Manager request the Commissioner of Public Works and Parks provide the City Council a report of the cost of demolition of Crompton Park pool facility and provide a cost estimate to demolish the remaining seven pool facilities, including a cost estimate to remove fencing and sod and seeding of disturbed areas, and provide a best case timeline if funding was available including an annual capital cost to complete demolition work over a twenty year period.

Mayor O'Brien moved that the topic is germane to the business of City Council and ruled that the discussion should continue. Councilor Clancy moved to challenge the Chair's interpretation and that the topic is not germane to the business of City Council and requested a roll call vote. Mayor O'Brien requested the City Clerk clarify the meaning of a yea and nay vote for this roll call. City Clerk stated a yea vote would support Councilor Clancy's motion that the topic is not germane to City Council business and terminate debate; a nay vote would support the interpretation of the Chair and debate would continue.
