To determine tax rates for residential, commercial, industrial and personal properties for Fiscal Year 2010.

The Mayor opened the Tax Classification Hearing: The following people appeared and spoke in favor of the lowest residential rate: 1. Gary Vecchio, Worcester resident 2. John Reed, Worcester resident The following people appeared and spoke in opposition to the lowest residential rate and in favor of a more business-friendly rate: 1. Roberta Schaefer, Worcester resident 2. Beth Proko, Worcester resident 3. John Carnegie, Worcester resident 4. Dick Kennedy, Worcester resident The Mayor closed the hearing and heard Councilor input. Councilor Haller moved to recommend Line 262 and That the tax rate for Fiscal Year 2010 be set at $15.15 for Residential property tax and $33.28 for Commercial, Industrial and Personal property. Councilor Petty moved to recommend Line 248 and That the tax rate for Fiscal Year 2010 be set at $15.31 for Residential property tax and $32.69 for Commercial, Industrial and Personal property. Councilor Rushton moved to recommend Line 206 and That the tax rate for Fiscal Year 2010 be set at $15.79 for Residential property tax and $30.90 for Commercial, Industrial and Personal property.
