Request City Manager consider the creation of a Compost Advisory Committee whose members include but are not limited to the Mass Audubon Society, Regional Environmental Council, Linders Auto Body and neighbors representing the Dane and Otto Avenue areas of Granite St. and residents of Gibbs St. area. Said committee would monitor composting operations with DPW officials at the Millbury St./Granite St. site and further request Administration consider putting an earthern berm on the border of the site near Granite St. in order to limit odors and negative site views. Request City Manager work with the Worcester Regional Transit Authority to locate a bus stop on Salem Street, near the Public Library, for Route #25 which would enable seniors and the disabled living at 1050 Main St., 1060 Main St., the Marble Street Apartments and other residences along this heavily residential route to visit the library and share in its many services, including movies, email, and books.
