Request City Manager consider designating square footage within the buildings formerly occupied by the Vocational High School and declared as surplus property by the City as a future “Incubator Central”. Said space would be structured to encourage start-up businesses within the City and house them until such time as they are successful enough to occupy traditional business-zoned property. Said effort would relieve pressure being placed on our residential areas for start-up businesses and establish a friendly climate for business in an appropriate central location. (Rushton)

Request City Manager increase the budget for Streets and Sidewalks Capital funding by directing any unused portions of approved capital dollars either from previous capital budgets or prospective capital budgets with the goal towards increasing Streets and Sidewalk funding by at least $1.0 million in the FY 2008 budget.
