WPD Vice Squad Find Heroin, Cocaine in Richard Street Raid

Worcester, MA (March 21, 2017)- On Monday, March 20, 2017, members of the Worcester Police Vice Squad possessed a search warrant for 25 Richards Street, Apartment 2-R. At approximately 12:30 PM, members of the WPD SWAT team entered the apartment. Inside the apartment were three males that were quickly secured. The males were identified as Jerome Broadard, 21-years-old of 626 Church Street, Whitinsville, Mark Wiggins, 53-years-old of the Richards Street Address, and the target of the warrant, Tyrone Harrington, 20-years-old of 626 Church Street, Whitinsville.

Once the apartment was secured members of the Vice Squad executed the search warrant for the premises. The search produced several knotted plastic baggies of heroin, 4 knotted baggies of crack cocaine, and 2 knotted plastic baggies of cocaine, packaging materials and a digital scale. Officers recovered $121.00 from Mr. Harrington, $80.00 from Mr. Wiggins.

All three men were charged with Trafficking in Heroin (37-99 grams), Possession of Class B Substance with the Intent to Distribute and a Drug Violation within 300ft. of a School Zone. (Goddard Memorial School of Science is within 300ft. of the target address.

All three men will be arraigned today at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
