WPD Vice Squad Arrests Worcester Man for Trafficking in Crack Cocaine

Worcester, MA (May 29, 2017) – On the morning of 5/29/17, several members of the Vice Squad were conducting surveillance in the May Street and Dewey Street neighborhood due to numerous recent complaints of open air drug dealing in the area.

At approximately 9:30 AM, officers were monitoring a dark blue Ford F-150 that had been driving around the area. They developed probable cause that the driver of the vehicle, later identified as Keith Taylor, forty-six-years old of 50 Franklin St, had been distributing crack cocaine in the area.

Officers stopped the vehicle near Main and Hammond St. Officers were able to recover a large sandwich bag from Taylor's front sweatshirt pocket. Inside the bag were two separate bags containing approximately 30 grams of crack cocaine. Officers also recovered a wallet containing $490. Separate from the money in his wallet, Taylor had $40 and an additional $35 folded in his front pants pocket.

Mr. Taylor is charged with Trafficking in a Class B Substance 18-36 Grams (Crack Cocaine) and Distribution of Cocaine (2nd or subsequent offense). He will be arraigned at the Worcester District Court on Tuesday May 30th.
