Worcester, MA (April 26, 2017)- On Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at approximately 7:20 PM, Worcester Police responded to a ShotSpotter activation for the location of Harrison and Coral Streets. Multiple shots were reported by the detection system.
Arriving officers discovered a crime scene on Harrison Street. WPD detectives, members of the Crime Scene Unit and Operations personnel canvassed the area and collected evidence.
There were no injuries reported.
While officers were at the scene, police dispatchers received a call from a male stating that his vehicle was struck by several rounds while he was driving on Harrison Street. The male stated that he had just dropped a friend off on Harrison Street and was heading west back to his residence when he heard multiple shots being fired. The male stated that he noticed his rear window was damaged but did not stop until he arrived back at his residence. When he exited the vehicle he observed that it was struck several times.
The male was not injured.
