Worcester, MA (October 31, 2017)- On Monday, October 30, 2017, at approximately 10:09 PM, Worcester police responded to 90 Millbury Street, the Honey Farms Market, for a reported armed robbery. At the time of the call, two officers were nearby on a traffic stop. Both officers were on scene within a very short time.
The officers entered the store and spoke with the clerk. According to the clerk, a male suspect approached the counter, placed an item on the counter as if to make a purchase, and demanded cash. The suspect showed the clerk a gun that he had in his waistband. The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store in an unknown direction.
WPD detectives arrived at the scene along with members of the Crime Scene Unit. Detectives interviewed the clerk and reviewed security video footage.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic male, 5’8” tall, clean cut, stocky build, wearing a dark hooded coat, and dark jeans.
There were no injuries reported.
