Worcester, MA (April 3, 2017) - On Saturday, April 1, 2017 at approximately 5:23 AM, Worcester Police responded to a Plantation Street address for a report of a Larceny from a motor vehicle. Responding officers were informed by police dispatchers that the owner is outside arguing with another male that was discovered inside his vehicle.
Upon the officers arrival they observed the two males standing next to a 2004 Cadillac. The vehicle was parked in a driveway of the victim’s home. The officer spoke with the owner. The officer was told that he was inside his home getting ready for work when he heard a noise coming from the driveway. The owner looked out his window and observed a male inside his vehicle going through his belongings. The owner ran out to his car and encountered the male suspect.
The owner stated that as he approached the vehicle the suspect attempted to close the passenger door. The owner was able to prevent the door from closing and physically removed him from the car. The owner stated that he asked the male why he was inside his vehicle and he had no response. The owner asked the suspect again which then turned into a loud argument between the two.
The officer asked the suspect why he was inside the vehicle but he refused to answer. The suspect also refused to provide his name. The suspect was eventually identified as Evensly Phard, 18-years-old of 53 Cutler Street, Worcester. Mr. Phard was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Disturbing the Peace and Breaking and Entering with the Intent to Commit a Misdemeanor.
