Worcester Has 6th Homicide

Worcester, MA (June 8, 2011) - On June 8, 2011 at approximately 9:00 AM a male walked into the lobby of the Worcester Police Department and informed police officers that he had just murdered his wife and that he wanted to turn himself in. The male was identified as 39 year old Natalio Felix of 16 Huntington Avenue, Worcester. At this time Worcester Police Detectives were notified and responded to the address as well as Worcester EMS.

Upon the detectives' arrival they gained entrance to the home by an unlocked rear door. The victim was located on the second floor, in a bedroom of the single family home. The victim was immediately transported to UMass Medical Center (university campus) where she was subsequently pronounced dead at 10:08 AM by attending physicians. The exact cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy. The victim has been identified as Janice Santos, 37 years old of the same address mentioned.

Mr. Felix was taken to the Detective Bureau where he spoke with detectives. Meanwhile, investigators obtained a search warrant for the home as the Worcester Police Crime Scene Unit processed the scene for evidence.

Mr. Felix was placed under arrest and charged with Murder. At this time Mr. Felix is at a local hospital for an undisclosed injury and his arraignment will be at a time yet determined pending his release. This investigation is ongoing.
