Worcester, MA (January 25, 2012) - On Wednesday January 25, 2012 at approximately 11:30 AM Worcester Police responded to Vernon Hill School located at 211 Providence Street for a report of two missing students. Upon the officers' arrival they met with the school principal along with the mother of a 5th grade female who is one of the missing children.
According to the mother, her daughter was last seen leaving home to go to school. The daughter is 10 year old Bella Donna Bailey; she is wearing a brown coat, black pants, brown shirt with a pink shirt with a picture of a kitten on it. Bella is 4’5” and 80 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes. Bella is also with 8 year old Landon Allen; he has blonde hair, blue eyes and is wearing a blue and white jacket and a brown shirt.
The two children have been seen at approximately 9:00 AM by a neighbor who witnessed them trying to enter a shed. The youths were scared away by the neighbor. The two were also spotted inside the Price Chopper Food Market located on Sunderland Road at approximately 11:00 AM.
The Worcester Police have had all available personnel working the day shift searching for the two since this incident was brought to light. The day shift has been held over as the search continues. Officers have gone house to house searching for the children. Nearby woods have been searched as well. A reverse 911 has been implemented throughout the neighborhood providing information on the two children.
The Worcester Police have received assistance from the Massachusetts K-9 Unit in searching for the children. Police are now currently working on possibly sending out an Amber Alert for the two children.
