Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust

Worcester, MA (February 24, 2012) - On February 23, 2012 at approximately 9:00 PM Worcester Police conducted a traffic stop on a blue Nissan at the corner of Water Street and Grafton Street. The vehicle failed to stop at a red light and then did not use a turn signal.

During the investigation, officers found that the passenger, Jarrod Lavallee, 42, to be in possession of multiple bundles of heroin. In total, officers recovered 31 packets of heroin.

Lavallee of 399 Lake Ave. was arrested and charged with Possession of Class A Substance with Intent to Distribute and Drug Violation within 1000 Feet of a School (Grafton Street School).

Lavallee will be arraigned at the Worcester County District Courthouse on Friday, February 24, 2012.
