Worcester, MA (February 27, 2017) - On Monday, February 27, 2017 at approximately 1:00 PM, Worcester Police Investigators received information that the suspect involved in the two armed robberies on February 19, 2017 involving the Honey Farms Market and the Chadwick Food Mart, was in the emergency room of a local hospital.
On Sunday, February 26, 2017 Information pertaining to the robberies along with the suspect photographs from the stores security cameras were uploaded to the WPD social sites in an effort to reach out to the community to help in identifying the suspect. As a result of the posting, investigators received several anonymous tips that provided the name of the suspect.
Investigators took the information and confirmed that the photographs taken from the stores security footage matched photographs that were already in the WPD database.
Once a match was confirmed, investigators set up surveillance in areas that the suspect was known to be at. As a result of the surveillance information was obtained that the suspect would be located in the ER of a local hospital. Investigators went to the hospital and located the suspect.
The suspect was identified as Mr. Victor Burgos, 34-years-old of 1 Prospect Street, Worcester. Mr. Burgos was observed sitting in the hallway of the ER while waiting to be treated for an undisclosed medical condition.
Investigators approached Mr. Burgos and placed him under arrest without incident. Mr. Burgos was charged with two counts of Armed Robbery and eventually transported back to police headquarters after he received medical treatment.

WPD Seek Public's Help Identifying Suspect
Worcester, MA (February 26, 2017) - Worcester Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in two separate armed robberies that occurred on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
The first incident occurred at approximately 11 am at the Honey Farms (located at 82 Thomas St). The suspect threatened the clerk with a knife and demanded cash from the register. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. He was seen running toward Summer Street.
The second incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. at the Chadwick Food Mart (located at 57 West Boylston Street). The same suspect again threatened the clerk with a knife and stole money from the register. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash toward Barnes Ave.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male in his late 20s or early 30s, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, thick round shaped glasses, a red shirt under the hoodie, and blue jeans.
