Police Officer Working Walmart Detail Arrest Male for B&E in MV

Worcester, MA (July 14, 2013) - On Friday, July 12, 2013, a Worcester Police officer was working a private detail at the Walmart store located at 25 Tobias Boland Way. The officer was notified by employees monitoring security cameras that a male wearing a white shirt and black sweatpants was in the parking lot checking numerous car doors.

The officer searched the area and discovered a male sitting nearby wearing a white shirt and dark sweatpants. The officer approached the male. The male was going through a wallet and had a woman’s purse by his feet.

The male was identified as Nicholas White, 23-years-old of 14 Highfield Drive of Lancaster. The officer searched Mr. White and discovered personal belongings, cash, cellphones and credit cards belonging to a different person. Mr. White did not have a logical reason why he possessed property that belonged to someone else.

Mr. White was placed under arrest and charged with Breaking and Entering into a Motor Vehicle with the Intent to Commit a Felony and Receiving Stolen Property Under the Value of $250.00.

The stolen items were returned to the owner. Mr. White will be arraigned at the Worcester County District Courthouse on Monday, July 15, 2013.
