Worcester, MA (August 10, 2017) – On 8/10/2017 at about 11:27 PM, police were dispatched to the intersection of Chatham and Oxford streets for a report of a stabbing. Several officers assigned to the Summer Impact Program were first on the scene. The victim, a 24 year old Brockton man, was found on the steps of a church in the area. He was being treated by paramedics when the officers arrived.
The victim suffered stab wounds to his stomach and arm, and his injuries are considered non-life threatening. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The investigation is in its early stages, and at this time it is unclear how the victim received the stab wounds. The victim was apparently visiting a family member when the stabbing occurred.
