Police Investigate Shooting of Fourteen-Year-Old Male on Burncoat St

Worcester, MA (July 26, 2017) – On Wednesday July 26, 2017 at about 3:20 AM, police received a call for a male victim who had been shot in the leg near the intersection of Burncoat St and Lincoln St. Upon arrival, police discovered that the victim was fourteen-years-old. The juvenile was standing on front of his residence when a vehicle drove by and he was shot once in his left leg, just above his ankle. His mother was contacted and he was transported to the hospital.

WPD Detectives and Crime Scene Unit responded and processed the scene. The investigation is in its early stages and more information will be put out as it is available.
