Worcester, MA (August 4, 2017) – On Friday, August 4th at about 2:30 PM, officers were dispatched with paramedics to the intersection of Parker and Mason St for a crash between a bicycle with two riders and a pick-up truck. Upon arrival, paramedics treated the two men who were thrown from the bicycle and transported them to the hospital for injuries.

They went through the stop sign and struck the side of a pickup truck in the middle of the intersection. The pickup truck was going North on Mason St. The operator of the pickup truck slammed on his brakes, leaving skid marks, but was unable to avoid contact with the bicycle. Both occupants were ejected from the bicycle. Both the 19-year-old passenger on the bicycle and the 23-year-old bicycle operator sustained injuries, which are not expected to be life-threatening.
