Worcester, MA (October 11, 2017) - On Wednesday October 11th at about 1:15 AM, Worcester Police were dispatched to PA Cleaners on Millbrook St for a report of a commercial break in progress. Upon arrival, officers saw that the lower part of the front door was broken, and that there was some blood in the area. Officers observed a male inside the business, and set up a perimeter around it to keep him from escaping. Officers commanded whoever was inside the business to come out with his hands up.
A male, later identified as Azaraih Ndagigimana, twenty-one-years-old of 88 Queen St, ran out of the business and tried to run past officers. An officer was able to grab him as he attempted to escape, and the Mr. Ndagigimana was rapidly moving his body back and forth in an attempt to get away from the officer. Mr. Ndagigimana also kept reaching into his sweatshirt pocket and refused the officer’s commands to show his hands. Eventually, officers were able to take him to the ground and place him under arrest. A search incident to arrest revealed that Mr. Ndagigimana had a pair of scissors, a box cutter, a screw driver, and a backpack full of other items.
Officers were able to view video surveillance, which showed Mr. Ndagigimana breaking into the business. Mr. Ndagigimana was charged with B&E At Night for a Felony, Larceny from a Building, Possession of Burglarious Instruments, Resisting Arrest, and Vandalism. He will be arraigned today in Worcester District Court.
