Worcester, MA (May 18, 2017) – The investigation into the Mt. Pleasant Street Assault and Robbery of a 40-year-old man continues. During the investigation a finger print match from inside the victim’s motor vehicle was made. The finger print belonged to Sheila Pagan-Ariyo, 25-years-old of 87 Norfolk Street, Worcester. Detectives searched for Ms. Pagan-Ariyo. On Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at approximately 5:30 PM she was located in the Main South area. Pagan-Ariyo was transported to police headquarters for questioning.
Based on information obtained from the interview as well as the physical evidence inside the vehicle, Ms. Pagan-Ariyo was placed under arrest and charged with Attempted Unarmed Robbery and Breaking and Entering into a Locked Depository (locked motor vehicle).
Ms. Pagan-Ariyo was one of several suspects that were inside the victim’s vehicle. Detectives continue to work on obtaining the other identities. Ms. Pagan-Ariyo will be arraigned today at the Worcester County District Courthouse.

WPD Detectives Investigating Robbery on Mt. Pleasant St.

Worcester, MA (May 15, 2017) - On Monday May 15th at about 11:20 PM, police were dispatched to Mt. Pleasant St for a report of a male laid out on the sidewalk. Upon arrival, they observed the forty-year-old victim, who appeared to be extremely disoriented, on the ground. He was unable to give a lucid description of what had happened to him. The victim was transported to the hospital with a possible head injury.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the male had been attacked and robbed. The preliminary investigation indicates that as the male walked to his car, he was struck in the head from behind and fell to the ground. His attacker appeared to strike him in the head again, and take something from his pockets. The attacker left.
As the victim was unconscious on the ground, a group of people walked to the victim and began going through his clothes. They took his keys from his person and used them to enter his locked vehicle. They took several items out of the vehicle before leaving the victim on the ground and walking away.
