Neighborhood Response Team Arrest One During Surveillance

Worcester, MA (March 23, 2017) - On Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 6:15 PM, members of the Worcester Police Neighborhood Response Team were on patrol in an unmarked cruiser in the area of 93 Piedmont Street. Police had received numerous complaints from citizens in the neighborhood regarding street level drug dealing and crimes of disorder in this particular area.

While patrolling, officers observed a Jeep Cherokee parked in the area of the Mustard Seed on Piedmont Street. Officers were familiar with this particular vehicle as they had received information that 31 year old Michelle Finnimore of Worcester was using the vehicle to sell synthetic marijuana in the area.

Officers observed Finnimore in the driver’s seat of the Jeep. Officers also observed three individuals standing outside of the driver’s side window of the Jeep. Officers continued watching the vehicle and saw Finnimore hand a rolled blunt to a male (later identified as 34 year old Johnny Rosario of Worcester) in exchange for currency.

Officers approached and recovered a blunt rolled with synthetic marijuana from Rosario.  Officers placed Finnimore under arrest for Distribution of a Class C Substance. After her arrest, officers searched the Jeep and located an additional 20 packages of synthetic marijuana along with $2,090. Finnimore is additionally being charged with Possession of a Class C Substance w/ the Intent to Distribute.

Rosario was released from the scene and will be summonsed on the charge of Possession of a Class C Substance.
