Man Robbed at Gunpoint in Craigslist iPhone Scam- Arrest Made

Worcester, MA (April 8, 2013) - On Friday, April 5, 2013 at approximately 10 PM Worcester police were called to an apartment complex on Outlook Drive for a report of an armed robbery.

The victim responded to an advertisement on Craigslist offering an iphone for sale. When the victim showed up to the designated location to make the transaction, a man met him in the hallway and asked if he had $350 dollars for the phone. Once the man saw that the victim had the money he went up to the second floor of the apartment complex to get the phone. Two other men appeared and one of them pointed a black handgun at the victim. The men robbed the victim of his money and his own iphone.

Police began to investigate and were able to identify the suspect who brandished the gun. On Saturday, April 6, 2013 police tracked down the suspect, who was identified as Dominique Greer of Worcester and developed probable cause for his arrest.

Dominique Greer, 17, of 15 Williamsberg Drive, Apartment 21, Worcester, MA was charged with Armed Robbery and Receiving Stolen Property Over $250.00.

Greer was arraigned at the Worcester County District Courthouse today.

This investigation is ongoing.
