Worcester, MA (January 29, 2012) - On Saturday, January 28, 2012 at approximately 10:22 PM Worcester Police responded to St. Vincent’s Emergency Room for a report of a male who had just walked in with a severe cut to his face. The male informed hospital personnel that he was pistol whipped in the face and head. Officers arriving at the hospital met with the victim. The victim, a 43 year old Worcester resident informed the officers that he was at his mother’s apartment on Prospect Street, with his girlfriend, when a male who he is familiar with entered the apartment without his permission. Once inside, this male started to beat him over his head and face with the handle of a handgun. The suspect then picked up a wooden cutting board and smashed it over his back.
As a result of the beating the male received a deep cut over his right eye and received numerous bruises over his face.
The Worcester Police Detective Bureau was called to the hospital to investigate this incident. Based on information provided at the hospital investigators were able to identify the suspect as Ezequiel Adomo, 28 years old of 60 Goldwaite Road.
On Sunday, January 29, 2012 Mr. Adomo entered police headquarters and turned himself in. Mr. Adomo was placed under arrest and charged with 2 counts of Home Invasion and 2 counts of Assault and Battery with a dangerous Weapon.
Mr. Adomo will be arraigned at the Worcester County District Courthouse on Monday, January 30, 2012. Investigation is ongoing.
