Worcester, MA (June 4, 2010) - On Thursday, June 3, 2010 at 7:35 PM Worcester Police responded to a May Street address for a reported kidnapping of a 4 year old boy. During the course of the search Detective William Pero was operating his unmarked vehicle on Hammond Street when he observed the suspect vehicle; Detective Pero stopped the vehicle on Hammond Street. Several other marked patrol units quickly assisted Detective Pero and the operator was placed under arrest. The four year old boy was located on the floor of the rear passenger side.
