Worcester, MA (July 25, 2017) – On July 25th, 2017 the WPD Vice Squad was in possession of a search warrant for 40 Country Club Blvd, apartment 23. At about 3:35 PM, Augustus Kormah, twenty-four-years-old of the listed address, pulled his black BMW sedan in front of his residence. Officers detained him and his female companion and entered the address.
A search of Mr. Kormah’s person revealed two cell phones and $8715 in cash. In the kitchen counter of the apartment, officers located two working digital scales, a knotted bag containing 8 rocks and some flakes of crack cocaine, and 88 blue pills believed to be Fentanyl. Elsewhere in the apartment, officers recovered an additional 474 Fentanyl pills, $1032 in cash, and two handguns. The guns were in a dresser drawer and not secured properly.
The total weight of the Fentanyl recovered was about 50 grams. Neither Mr. Kormah nor his female companion has a license to carry firearms or an FID card. Mr. Kormah was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl, Possession of a Class B Substance with intent to Distribute, four counts of Possession of a Firearm without an FID card, two counts of Use of a Firearm in a Felony, and two counts of Improper Storage of a Firearm. Mr. Kormah will be arraigned in Worcester District Court tomorrow. His female companion was issued a summons and will also be arraigned in court tomorrow.
