Worcester, MA (March 29, 2017) - On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at approximately 8:20 PM, Worcester Police responded to a Jefferson Street address for a report of a stabbing. Upon the officers arrival they met with a 27-year-old female victim. The female was located inside the apartment building. The victim is a Worcester resident but does not reside at this address.
The victim was bleeding heavily but was conscious and alert. The victim stated that she was outside the apartment building, standing in the driveway with her boyfriend, when she was approached by two females. One female began to argue with the victim and then stabbed her several times in the upper body.
The suspect is known to the victim.
After the attack the two females fled the scene on foot, they were last seen on Blanche Street towards Pattison Street and may have driven off in a light colored older model foreign made vehicle.
The victim was treated at the scene and transported to a nearby medical facility via Worcester EMS. The Victim was immediately taken into the OR.
The victim is expected to survive and is in stable condition. The victim will be interviewed at some time after she recovers from surgery.
Worcester Detectives responded to the scene along with members of the WPD Crime Scene Unit. Witnesses were interviewed while evidence was collected.
