Worcester, MA (August 31, 2010) - On Monday, August 30 2010 at approximately 2:15 PM Ms. Michelle Diaz, 21 years old of Worcester was pronounced dead as a result of her injuries from the August 24th shooting on Fairfax Road. On that day, at approximately 12:49 PM Worcester Police responded to 21 Fairfax Road for a report of a female shot in a motor vehicle. Upon their arrival, the officers observed a 21 year old Worcester female suffering from a single gunshot wound to the neck; the woman was found in the driver's seat of the vehicle.

This investigation is ongoing; investigators have canvassed the neighborhood, interviewed witnesses and processed evidence.
