Worcester, MA (August 18, 2017) – On Friday, August 18, 2017, at approximately 11:51 AM, Worcester Police responded to a Kimball Street address for a reported home invasion. Upon the officers arrival they met with a 26-year-old female victim. According to the victim, she was sleeping when she was awakened by two males that were inside her home. When she opened her eyes she observed both males pointing handguns at her. The two male suspects were demanding money and drugs. One male stayed with the female while the second male began to search the home. The home was ransacked. The suspects did not locate any cash or drugs. The suspects took an electronic device and fled the home. The female was unhurt. The males were last seen running through the back woods heading towards Holden Street.
Police began to search the area for the suspects. A Massachusetts State Police K-9 Unit arrived at the scene and assisted in the search. The K-9 did track a scent for a time in the area of Chester Street but eventually lost the scent. The suspects were not located.
The suspects were described as two white males, possibly in their mid to late twenties wearing dark clothing; both men had their faces covered.
WPD detectives are now investigating this incident. The suspect’s description is very limited at this time.
