Worcester, MA (December 10, 2017) - On December 10th at about 1:15 PM, Worcester Police responded to the area of Union Station at Washington Square for a report of a robbery. Upon arrival, officers observed an unconscious thirty-five-year-old Worcester man on the ground. An ambulance brought the male to the hospital while officers began to investigate.
Witnesses said that this male had been walking with a group of about other males under the bridge by Union Station. One of the males delivered an unprovoked punch to the victim’s face, and the whole group began punching and kicking the victim on the ground. The suspects went through the victim’s pockets, and took his backpack. They fled on foot toward Union Station.
The victim was transported to the hospital with serious head injuries. He is currently in stable condition.
