Worcester, MA (September 29, 2017) - On September 28th, 2017 at about 9:45 PM, Worcester police officers were dispatched to the Hotel Vernon at Kelley Square for a report of a possible stabbing. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the twenty-four-year-old male victim, who reported that he was trying to break up a fight between members of a small group outside the bar. During the altercation, the victim was stabbed once in the lower back. The victim said that he did not know the suspects, who had taken off on foot prior to police arrival.
The victim was brought to the hospital for evaluation. The wound is not life-threatening. Members of the Detective Bureau and Crime Scene Units responded, and officers spoke with multiple witnesses.
