Citizen Advisory for Parked Cars

Worcester, MA (January 26, 2012) - The Worcester Police would like to inform the residents and visitors of Worcester that there have been 13 reported car breaks between the dates of January 19-21. These car breaks have occurred at St. Vincent's parking garage, the MCPHS parking garage and the Hilton Garden parking garage. Police have been called to these areas during the hours of 10:30 PM and 12:30 AM.

The Worcester Police would like to advise those who park their vehicles in the garages to use caution when leaving your car unattended. The vehicle should be locked, the alarm activated if so equipped and to place all valuables out of plain view.

The Worcester Police Detective Bureau is currently working on this case. If anyone has information about this incident they can send an anonymous text to 274637 TIPWPD + your message or send an anonymous web based message at worcesterma.gov/police. Calls can also be made to the Worcester Police Detective Bureau at (508) 799-8651.

There will be no new additional information released at this time.
