Butler Street Man Arrested After Vice Raid Nets Guns and Drugs

Worcester, MA (June 18, 2013) - On Monday, June 17, 2013, members of the Worcester Police Vice Squad obtained a search warrant for 46 Butler Street, Apartment 1, the residence of 32-year-old Abraham Cabrera. This warrant was the result of an extensive investigation involving the illegal distribution of Oxycodone. For the past several months, investigators conducted surveillance on the Butler Street residence. Investigators gathered sufficient evidence during this investigation which resulted in the execution of the search warrant.

At approximately 11:30 AM, investigators executed the warrant for Apartment 1. The officers knocked on the door and Mr. Cabrera answered the door. He was shown a copy of the warrant as officers entered the dwelling.

After an extensive search of the apartment the following was discovered.

  1. 254 (30mg) Oxycodone tablets weighing approximately 26.9 grams
  2. 3 (5mg) Zanex tablets
  3. 6 ½ (1mg) Clonazepam tablets
  4. 57 (5mg) Diazepam tablets
  5. 13 (10mg) Baclofen tablets
  6. 5 (10mg) Methadone
  7. $918.00 in cash
  8. Packaging materials
  9. Digital scale
  10. 7 Suboxone tablets
  11. 2 Suboxone strips
  12. 1 Kimar .25 caliber handgun with 4 rounds of ammunition
  13. 1 German Police PPK handgun

At the conclusion of the search, Mr. Cabrera was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking in Class A Substance (Oxycodone) 18-38 Grams, 2 counts of Possession of Class B Substance (Methadone & Suboxone) with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Class C Substance (Diazepam, Klomipin, Zanex, Clonazepam) with the Intent to Distribute, Possession of Ammunition without an FID, 2 counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony and 2 counts of Possession of a Firearm without an FID.

Mr. Cabrera will be arraigned today at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
