Arrest Made in Overnight Stabbing on Winslow Street

Worcester, MA (April 17, 2013) - On April 19, 2013, Worcester Police responded to the vicinity of 18 Winslow Street at approximately 2:00 AM for a report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, police found a man on the street who was suffering from a stab wound. He was rushed to a local hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation reveals that there was an altercation between the victim and the suspect, later identified as 34-year-old, Amador Roman of Worcester. The fight occurred during a nearby house party. During the altercation, Mr. Roman stabbed the victim and fled the scene.

Police processed the scene and interviewed witnesses. Officers were able to track down the suspect and placed him under arrest.

Amador Roman, 34, of 66 Suffolk Street, Worcester was charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and Armed Assault with Intent Murder. He also had an outstanding arrest warrant.

The victim, Marco Johnson, 29, of 26 Old Lincoln Street, of Worcester had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. He was arrested for these outstanding warrants alleging several felony offenses involving larcenies.

Mr. Roman and Mr. Johnson will be arraigned at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
