WPD Vice Squad Investigation Leads to Seizure of Fentanyl and One Arrest

Worcester, MA (October 19, 2017) - On October 19, 2017 members of the Worcester Police Vice Squad were in possession of a search warrant for 21 Dorchester Street. The named target was identified as Pablo Santana, 27-years-old of the Dorchester Street address.

Undercover vice officers set up surveillance on the apartment. During the Surveillance, Mr. Santana was seen leaving the apartment and enter a green Kia Forte. Vice officers followed the Kia and decided to stop the vehicle at Main and Piedmont Streets. The motor vehicle stop was conducted at approximately 11:55 AM.

At approximately 12:15 PM, entry was made into the apartment. Officers conducted a quick search for anyone inside but the apartment was empty. At this time Mr. Santana was transported back to the apartment by vice officers.

Prior to executing the search Mr. Santana was shown a copy of the warrant. The search produced a digital scale, and a can of WD40 that contained a false bottom. Inside the can officers located two bags that contained fentanyl. The search also produced $800 in cash, a grinder, packaging materials, crib notes and a Coca-Cola can that contained a false bottom. The Coke can was empty.

Mr. Santana was placed under arrest and charged with Possession of Class B Substance with the Intent to Distribute and a Drug Violation within 1,000 feet of a School. St. Mary’s is located approximately 40 feet away from the target address.

Mr. Santana will be arraigned tomorrow, October 20, 2017, at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
