Pedestrian Arrested after Smashing out Windshield with Brick

Worcester, MA (June 15, 2017) – On Wednesday, June 15, 2017, at approximately 11:40 AM, Worcester police responded to the area of 630 Main Street for a report of malicious mischief. Upon the officers arrival they met with the 55-year-old male victim. According to the victim, he was operating his motor vehicle in the area of 630 Main Street. At this location a male was standing in the middle of the road. The victim had to come to a stop. The male in the road, later identified as Mitchel Archeval, 43-years-old of 27 Kelly Square, eventually got out of the road.

At this time the driver was about to move on when Mr. Archeval picked up a brick and struck the driver’s side rear quarter. Mr. Archeval then walked towards the front and smashed out the windshield. The victim began to drive off but had to stop further down the road for the red light at the intersection of Main Street and Chandler Street. The victim stated that Mr. Archeval was now running and yelling trying to catch up to him while he was stuck in traffic.

Mr. Archeval was still at the scene when police arrived and told the officers that he felt that he was almost struck by the vehicle while he was in the road.

Mr. Archeval was placed under arrest and charged with Willful and malicious Destruction of Property.
