2 Arrested in Separate Car Break Incidents

Worcester, MA (April 30, 2013) - On April 30, 2013 at approximately 12:30 AM Worcester Police were dispatched to the area of Main Street and Federal Street for a report a man breaking into a motor vehicle. The suspect was smashing a car window and taking items from inside. Police were given a description of the suspect and were able to track him down in a nearby alley. The suspect was identified as 29-year-old Edgardo Correa of Worcester. He was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters.
Edgardo Correa, 29, of 29 Norfolk Street Apartment 4, Worcester was charged with Breaking and Entering in the Night Time with Intent to Commit a Felony.
Police were able to recover the stolen items from the vehicle and return them to the owner.
On April 30, 2013 at approximately 5:38 AM Worcester Police were called to the vicinity of 46 Hadwen Road for a report of a male attempting to break into motor vehicles. When police arrived on scene the suspect fled on foot. The suspect ignored all commands to stop. The suspect fell during the foot chase and police attempted to apprehend him. He resisted efforts to place him in handcuffs and tried to reach into his pockets. Police were eventually able to place him under arrest. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Ivan Camacho-Morales, was in possession of a folding knife, flashlight, several electronics and loose change.
Ivan Camacho-Morales, 26, of 16 Winslow Street Apartment 2, Worcester was charged with Breaking and Entering During the Daytime with Intent to Commit a Felony, Possession of a Burglarious Instrument, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon, Disturbing the Peace and Resisting Arrest.
The two men will be arraigned at the Worcester County District Courthouse today.
