COMMUNITY PRESENTATION: RX DRUG SAFETY

Join Joseph D. Early Jr., Worcester County District Attorney, who formed the Central Mass. Opioid Task Force to help the people of his district deal with the opioid abuse epidemic. Mr. Early’s Office was awarded a federal grant that will help agencies target their response to the crisis. His office also received a state grant to fund a pilot program for intervening with people addicted to opioids at the point of overdose. Elisabeth Haddad, Central Mass OpioidTask Force coordinator and elder outreach facilitator for the district attorney’s office, will join Mr. Early for the presentation. They will provide information on safe storage and disposal of medications, an update on the opioid crisis, and what is being done at the local and state level to fight the crisis.
