Join Miss Julie, from Pakachoag Music School, for 30 minutes of active, interactive music and rhythm for young children. Parents/caregivers and siblings are encouraged to join the fun.

For each class, we'll sing different songs from the multi-cultural Kazoo Song Collection (take home song books with music for download available). We'll jump, wiggle and laugh with props and drums you can find around your house.

Each class is a little different and part of a set of 10. Attend 1 or as many as you are able.

Boys & Girls Club of Worcester: Mindful Art Class

This class addresses the growing concerns related to increased stressors on middle and high school students which can lead to anxiety, depression, low self esteem and unhealthy coping. It also addresses the innate human need to engage in creative expression as well as the need for this age group to develop a sense of Self and explore their identity in purposeful ways. The overall goal of this live class is to provide more opportunities for this age group to reduce stress, engage in creative expression and experience the benefits of mindful art making as a group.

Supplies needed: art notebook/sketchbook & drawing supplies (pencils, markers crayons etc). Provided at pick up locations.

Apple Tree Arts: Songwriting 101 with Alex. Join us for an intro to songwriting! We'll discuss what everyone appreciates about a good song; whether it's a catchy melody, hook, or theme - maybe a catchy beat or rhythm. Then we'll learn about the anatomy of a song: intro, verse, chorus, bridge, outro, etc. Our instructor will play some simple chord progressions that participants can write a melody and lyrics over. Depending on the number of participants, we may collaborate on a single song or work individually.
